Opposition leader Raila Odinga has dismissed claims that Jubilee Party has specific regions that it enjoys total control of voters.
Odinga further says that the term 'stronghold' is a media narrative to mislead Kenyans on voting dynamics ahead of August polls.
Speaking at his Karen home on Friday, Odinga made a reference to his reception in Meru on Thursday, a region perceived to be President Uhuru Kenyatta's support base.
"There is nothing like Jubilee strongholds. The government has lost control of such regions given their inability to improve the livelihoods of Kenyans," he said.
He added: "Yesterday I was in Meru and you all saw the turnout to my rally. The same happens when I visit Rift Valley. In brief, the Jubilee administration has lost its support base."
Odinga also accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of directing government resources to rally for voter registration in certain counties perceived to be his strongholds.
"He should traverse the whole country and rally for voter registration like I do. We are beyond such cheap politics," he said.
