Former Devolution Cabinet Secretary and Kirinyaga County gubernatorial hopeful Anne Waiguru has expressed her dissatisfaction with the substandard primaries that Jubilee has carried out.
She was accused of storming a polling station but she has said her action was a way of expressing her disappointment with the way Jubilee has carried out this critical process.
“I did not storm any polling station. I just wanted to express my dissatisfaction with the substandard exercise. We want this exercise postponed to a later date. How can you conduct nominations without sufficient ballot equipment? There is a problem. Our election officials sent us messages to use papers and stamps as polling material. That is not fair; who does that? Somebody might challenge that decision in court. Worse still, the orders were selective to certain aspirants,” said Waiguru.
Waiguru will square it out with incumbent Joseph Ndathi with the Jubilee ticket viewed as a ticket to the county top seat in this region. Despite her NYS saga she has fought the corruption tag and Ndathi will not have an easy sail.
