Speaking on Monday during the burial of retired Kakamega Catholic Bishop Philip Sulumeti's mother Agnes Iponge, Odinga who was accompanied by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi accused the Jubilee leaders of failing to honor the agreements that were made by the Parliamentary Joint Select Committee earlier by trying to introduce an amendment that will see the electoral process given a manual backup instead of going the all-electronic way agreed.

''Jubilee has panicked and now the leaders are rushing to make amendments. This is a matter that had been agreed on and I don't see why they should turn back now.It seems they have sensed danger in the coming polls.''Said the former Prime Minister.

Raila also warned that in case the amendment bill is passed, the opposition block will mobilise all its supporters for a mega mass action.

On his side, Musalia Mudavadi called upon all the opposition lawmakers and all the others who would like the nation to make a step towards an automatic voting process to oppose the Bill.

''We are calling upon all the opposition MPs and all others who want free and fair elections to oppose the amendment," he said

The Bill set to be tabled Tuesday seeks to allow the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to revert to a manual electoral process should the electronic one fail.
