Cord leader Raila Odinga has claimed that IEBC officials have been promised government position to rig elections for the Jubilee govt in 2017.
Speaking on Sunday at a local TV interview, Odinga said that he has evidence that IEBC is going to bed with the Jubilee govt to help president Uhuru Kenyatta retain his position in 2017.
“He(Uhuru) has forged a referee to the people whom he knows and has made a deal with, that is going to ensure that he is re-elected, I know much more,” Raila claimed.
Either Raila maintained that they(Cord) will not stop their push to disband the IEBC arguing that they need a neutral referee in the next General elections.
“In this game both teams must have confidence with the referee, this referee must be neutral,” Raila said.
The Cord coalition leaders and their supporters recently crowded the IEBC offices at Anniversary Towers in a move to push for the reconstitution of the commission.
Raila had promised that he will today move to the IEBC offices on the same mission together with the other coalition stakeholders and supporter which they postponed in respect for the late First Lady Lucy Kibaki.
