Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka has said Jubilee Party is not ready to hold dialogue with the NASA leadership over the just concluded repeat presidential election.

In an opinion piece published by The Standard, Lusaka told the Opposition to exhaust the avenue offered by the courts first if they have an issue with the poll conducted last week.

"Jubilee has a stand, which President Uhuru Kenyatta gave during his acceptance speech. He said NASA should explore all legal ways first before the dialogue debate takes shape. At the moment, dialogue debate is not in our plans, unless we jump the court hurdle," he said.

The Speaker, however, said Opposition lawmakers should use Parliament to debate on ways of ending the current political stalemate.

He wondered why NASA Senators were boycotting House business yet it was another avenue to for dialogue.

"I welcome NASA legislators back to the House and will oversee dialogue between them and their Jubilee counterparts when the House business resumes on November 7. That is the only version of dialogue I can offer," Lusaka added.
