Speaking to over 2,500 ODM delegates at Golf Hotel in Kakamega town, Raila said Kenyans must stand up and fight against the rampant cases of corruption in the Jubilee government.

According to Raila, government leaders have continued to steal what rightfully belongs to the common Kenyan despite his efforts to fight corruption.

He compared leaders from the ruling party to army worms, which are known for eating anything.

“Jubilee is like a swarm of army worms, stealing anything or everything,” he said, as during the meeting.

During the same meeting, he blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta for the delayed revival of the Webuye Pan Paper Mills.

The former Prime Minister pointed out that President Kenyatta declined to approve funds set aside to bail out the company.

“It is him (Uhuru) who refused to approve funds for the revival of Pan Paper when he was in charge of Ministry of Finance and those who were in the Cabinet then. Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and MP Paul Otuoma, can bear me witness,” Raila said.

The Cord leader also rubbished claims that he has been receiving a salary from Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) governors.

“I have been to Nigeria, London, Mexico and many other places to give lectures at universities and my hosts always cater for my bills,” he said.
