Nyando MP Fred Outa has defended the proposed National Super Alliance (NASA) from criticisms by a section of Jubilee leaders.
Outa said NASA is not tribal as alleged by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The MP said the Jubilee government has developed cold feet over the proposed political outfit as the country gears for a the 2017 polls.
“NASA is not tribal because it has the face of Kenya, anybody accusing us of being tribal is just afraid of our might and want to distract the attention of Kenyans,” he said.
He said the Jubilee government is made up of only two tribes and they cannot purport to call NASA a tribal party.
Addressing the press in Kisumu on Monday, Outa said NASA is up to the task to send the Jubilee government home in 2017.
He further noted that there is need for massive voter registration as a way of increasing the number of voters in the region.
“The only way to ensure a Raila Odinga presidency is to register our people in large numbers and rally them to come out and vote,” he said.
Outa promised to transverse the entire county to push for voter registration.
He called on other leaders to ensure they use their influence to register more people in their areas as voters.
