Jubilee is committed to fight corruption beyond what any other government has done previously, Deputy President William Ruto has said In a televised State of The Nation Adress on Tuesday.

Mr Ruto said that over 300 corruption cases are in court today and that the government has reached out to Chief Justice over matters corruption.

"We can go as far as what the law says on corruption says. The government cannot convict anyone. Kenyans should begin asking courts, for how long should corruption cases hang around courts," said Ruto.

The deputy president also said that since they took office, there has been growth in the country's economy.

"The government has connected two million more people to electricity and that every Kenyan within 50 metres of a transformer will be connected to electricity at a cost of Sh15,000 starting on 2nd April," Ruto added.

"70% of the Standard Gauge Railway project is complete and the railway connection between Nairobi & Naivasha we will be completed in two months time," he said.

In his address, Ruto said that the government had built 1950 kilometres new roads in the last three years and doubled the number of roads paved with tarmac.
