Uasin Gishu County leader of majority Josephat Lowoi has condemned opposition leader Raila Odinga for calling for a six-month transition government.

He said this is uncalled for and ill-intended and whose aim is to get a share in Jubilee government.

"We won't allow someone who did not participate in the presidential election to take us around and about to ascend to power. Raila wants to get a coalition government and as Jubilee leaders, we won't allow him to get even a slice," he said in Eldoret town, Wednesday.

"We will not conduct any negotiations concerning a coalition government since we voted on 26th October for our President Uhuru Kenyatta. No transition government will be formed," he added.

He said Raila's intention is to make Kenyans suffer for him for his own gain.

He, however, urged Kenyans to maintain peace and coexist peacefully as they used to before the presidential elections.

"I Want to urge Kenyans out there not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to cause violence for their own political benefits since your neighbor remain your neighbour," noted Lowoi.

This comes after in an interview with Reuters, NASA leader Raila Odinga proposed the formation of an interim government to be comprised of the ruling Jubilee Party and NASA, before a fresh presidential election is conducted.
