President Uhuru Kenyatta should not hold talks with the Opposition leader Raila Odinga, Jubilee leaders have said.

The two leaders have been under pressure to have a dialogue following the controversial October 26 repeat election in which Uhuru was declared the winner.

"Dialogue can only happen after the President and his deputy are sworn in. The talks can be initiated within the Constitution and through institutions such as the Senate and the National Assembly if need be," said Murungi.

Kajuju warned NASA leaders against planning to get access to power through the back door, saying any attempts to use violence will be met with the full force of law.

"The President should engage all Kenyans on any electoral reforms as we prepare for the 2022 elections," she said.

The leaders told Raila not make the country ungovernable by staging demonstrations but should seek to address his grievances through institutions established by the law.

"The economy is suffering and a lot is at stake in Kenya. We need to settle down and embark on building the nation," Murungi added.
