A host of Jubilee leaders were on Sunday booed in Nyamira when popularizing Jubilee party ahead of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tour scheduled on Tuesday.

In a region earmarked as tossup by Jubilee strategists, Kenyatta is set to tour both Nyamira and Kisii Counties as wrestle for at least 800, 000 votes picks.

But Former MPs Walter Nyambati (Kitutu Masaba) and Joseph Kiangoi (North Mugirango) were invited in Nyamira with anti-Jubilee slogans as residents questioned the development record of the regime in the region.

Trouble started when Nyambati, who is vying for Governorship drummed support for Kenyatta only for residents to rebuke him forcing him to periodically cut short his speech.

On his part, Kiangoi was also forced to cut short his speech when he tried to urge locals to vote for Jubilee government. He is vying for senatorial seat on Jubilee ticket.

In their four years in office, Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have only visited the region only twice in an official duty.

Nyambati, Kiangoi and Nyamira speaker Joash Nyamoko are Jubilee point’s men from Nyamira County.
