A section of leaders allied to the Jubilee Party have urged former Gatanga MP and 2013 presidential candidate Peter Kenneth to declare his political stand on which county he intends to run for the governorship.
Speaking to the press on Tuesday in Murang'a, Mathioya MP Clement Muchiri challenged the former legislator to come out clear on his political terminus, saying this would help the electorates to make up their minds earlier ahead of the 2017 general elections.
"The only thing we would tell Peter (Kenneth) is that since he comes from Murang'a, it could be prudent to come out clear and say what he really wants," Muchiri said.
"Though I understand that is a matter of personal decision, I would also say that wananchi have got also a right to demand what they want. If it is Nairobi or Murang'a, let Kenneth come out openly and announce," he added.
On Sunday, Peter Kenneth announced he has already been approached by at least three counties that want him to run for the governorship in the 2017 elections.
He, however, endorsed the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the as 'he weighs his next political destination.'
