The MPs from Kirinyaga County, however, said there will be no dialogue or reforms that will take place outside parliament.

At the same time, they supported the government’s move to ban the demonstrations stating that they are incurring huge losses to businesspeople and the country at large.

Although Kisumu Governor condemned the destruction of property and loss of lives, he said there was need for dialogue between the two coalitions so that the issue of IEBC can be solved amicably.

The leaders were speaking on Wednesday in Githugu, Kirinyaga County during the burial ceremony of Kirinyaga Governor’s father, Joseph Ndathi.

Narc-Kenya chairperson Martha Karua who was present said she will not join the Jubilee Coalition and noted that she will only work with the Opposition.

She spoke in Kikuyu dialect after she was pressured by earlier speakers to cross the ‘bridge’ and work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Although the MPs supported the dialogue to take place within the constitution framework, Governors said dialogue can be held anywhere provided it bears positive results
