Led by Kericho Senator Charles Keter, the leaders said that the Pesa Mashinani referendum drive was uncalled for as it was possible to increase allocation to counties without necessarily subjecting members of the public to a referendum.

“'The government is committed to the success of devolution and allocation of more funds to devolved governments is one step towards realising its success,'' said Keter.

While criticising Cord for the Okoa Kenya referendum calls, the politician said that the move was meant to destabilise the government and drive attention away from the development agenda.

The leaders launched a scathing attack on Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto whom they dared to leave the Jubilee coalition if he felt uncomfortable.

Keter said that the government was committed to realising all promises made during the campaign period adding that the same cannot be achieved amidst political bickering.

On the ICC, the politicians said that they are optimistic that cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto will collapse. He said that former ICC Prosecutor Moreno Ocampo did shoddy investigations.

Others who attended the function include nominated Senator-Liz Chelule, MPs David Gikaria - Nakuru Town East, Kimani Ngunjiri - Bahati, Jacob Macharia – Molo, Nderitu Mathenge - Gilgil, Moses Cheboi - Kuresoi North and Nakuru Deputy Governor Joseph Ruto.
