Former North Mugirango MP Winfred Ombui has publicly differed with Nyamira County Speaker Joash Nyamoko over who should head Jubilee Party's campaigns in Nyamira County.

President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Joseph Kiangoi and Mr. Nyamoko as chairperson and secretary respectively for 2017 campaigns.

And Mr. Ombui who also eyes the North Mugirango seat slammed Nyamoko's appointment saying that he had only recently defected from Kenya National Congress(KNC) to the Jubilee Party hence could not be trusted with the responsibility.

"I have been in the government always and no single day I have  ever differed with my party leaders. Nyamoko is a newcomer in the party and I don't think he should lead the party's campaigns at all" Ombui said.

However, the County Speaker has since dismissed Ombui's sentiments insisting that he had been assigned  the responsibilities by President Uhuru Kenyatta adding that he believed in his leadership.

"Ombui should know that am not a stranger in the party and that I was officially appointed by the president last week at Bomas of Kenya.I am a jubilee leader from Nyamira legally" said Nyamoko.

Also in the Jubilee campaign team from Gusii are former Constitution Implementation Commission Chairman Charles Nyachae and Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.
