An internal rebellion is brewing up in Jubilee party even as the country grapples with mega corruption scandals.
Early this week, President Uhuru Kenyatta insisted that his administration will not spare leaders who may be found culpable of stealing public funds.
"We cannot tolerate those stealing public funds. I urge for expeditious investigations so that we can have culprits brought to book," he said.
Already, over 20 suspects have been arraigned in court over Sh9 billion NYS money while EACC is still investigating looting at NCPB and KPLC.
But at Nyamira, a section of Jubilee grassroots leaders from Borabu constituency now wants Uhuru to own up the mistake and resign.
"He has only been telling us about four agendas yet he is not taking of corruption. The money is usually allocated in budget through Jubilee MPs," said their leader, Vincent Nyanumba.
"He should now contemplate resigning in two weeks time. It is completely unnecessary foe him to claim he is in control," he added.
According to them, Jubilee MPs have been allocating the money adding that no deficiency is noticed even after looting thus irregular allocation.
The tough talking president has been facing challenges in taming corrupt officials and has often accused courts of shoddy work.
