[Photo|Stephen Sang]Leaders in Nandi county, have defended the voter turnout during the Thursday fresh presidential election.Led by Governor Stephen Sang, the leaders said only 7,000 voters did not turn up to vote in various polling stations within the county. The Jubilee governor thanked those who voted, saying they exercised their democratic right, to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta, wins."We thank the people of Nandi for turning out in large number for the repeat presidential election. This is a confirmation of the confidence that the residents have in the Jubilee leadership."He linked the failure by the said voters to show up, to possible transport hitches, rains and calls by the Opposition, that its supporters should boycott the poll."As vote count continues it is now clear that President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto are headed for a landslide victory. I wish to urge Kenyans that we must remain peaceful, elections come and go but our dear Kenya is here to stay," Sang said, Friday.
