Jubilee leaders have launched President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election campaigns in Uasin Gishu County.

Led by Governors Jackson Mandango, Stanley Kiptis (Baringo), Wahome Gakuru (Nyeri), Women Rep Meru Florence Kajuju and Nyeri women Rep Priscilah Nyokabi, they said they will ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta is re-elected.

“We will conduct door to door campaigns to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta gets Sh10 million votes. We call upon our supporters to come out in large numbers and vote for him,” said Mandago in Eldoret town, Saturday.

“Instead of our competitors campaigning they are demonstrating thus sabotaging the economy. Votes are not gotten through demonstration but campaigns. We will defeat them squarely,” added Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru.

Florence Kajuju applauded the National Assembly for passing the elections laws, saying they will streamline the electoral process.

“The reason as to why we passed the amendments is to ensure that the elections are conducted in a free and fair manner as directed by the Supreme Court. We don’t have any hidden agenda on the same,” she said.

Priscilah Nyokabi condemned opposition leader Raila Odinga for boycotting elections, saying he had sensed defeat.

“Raila has scored his own goal after withdrawing from the race this shows that he is not ready for the elections and come October 27th presidential elections,” added Nyokabi.
