A group of Jubilee lawmakers have piled pressure on NASA leader Raila Odinga to accept Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidency.
This is after a group of foreign envoys called on Raila to work together with Uhuru.
Mathioya MP Peter Kimari said Raila ought to accept the will of the people, stop creating political side-shows and support Uhuru in developing the nation.
“Raila should be participating in national development and positively criticizing the Government instead of being sworn as the 'people’s president', a position that does not exist in the Constitution,” said Kimari.
On his part, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu said that the country will be united if Raila recognizes Uhuru as President.
“The only way the country can be unified is if we accept the reality we are living in now. Kenyatta is the President and William Ruto is his deputy, and they were legally elected and sworn into office,” he said.
