A section of Jubilee leaders from Borabu constituency have labelled Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i as a 'threat' to national security.
Led by Patel Aboki, the grassroots leaders raised fears that Matiang'i's approach to Miguna Miguna debacles could dismantle the peace deal between Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta.
"National values comes first. The Interior Cabinet Secretary is now a threat to national security and he should be treated with contempt," he said.
He further said: "He is determined to destabilize peace in the country and we cannot allow that. You cannot declare a Kenyan by birth, a persona non grata."
The leaders also dissociated themselves with Matiang'i, insisting that he is not a Nyamira resident.
"We canot be forced to believe that he originates from Nyamira. He is an alien who should otherwise be deported."
Early this year, Matiang'i's ancestral home came into question after a section of Jubilee MPs from Nyamira dismissed his as an immigrant from Kisii.
But despite the local criticism, Matiang'i has always insisted that he was born and raised within Nyamira County.
