Speaking after having lunch at State House on Jamhuri Day, the leaders said that they have unanimously agreed to contact Kamba elders (Atumia a Thome) so that they can perform a ritual-“Kithitu” against the incumbent governor for his recent remarks against the president.

This comes after Joho visited the Akamba Handicraft Industry in Changamwe and bashed at UhuRuto for doing little to save the ailing sector. The group comprised of Philip Ndolo, Daniel Muange, Ramadhan Kajembe and Crispus Waithaka who were led to State House by Coast regional commissioner Nelson Marwa.

Muange, who has declared to contest for the Changamwe parliamentary seat said that Joho stands to face the wrath of elders if he does not desist from making such remarks.

“If Joho continues like this, we as the Kamba community will curse him,” said Muange, as quoted by the Star.

On his part, Kithuku told the star that they were planning to discuss the matter. “We have a meeting of all the elders from all communities living in Mombasa to discuss matters touching on peace. After that we will meet as Atumia ma Thome on Muange's request,” he said.
