The Member of County Assembly for Gathiga ward in Laikipia county, Peter Thomi Waigwa, has been admitted at Naivasha sub-county hospital.
Thomi was on Sunday, March 4, involved in a grisly road accident near Marura along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
The tragic accident which involved five vehicles, including two buses, left three people dead.
Thomi’s driver was one of the victims who lost his life.
Other passengers and motorists who sustained injuries were also admitted at the sub-county hospital.
Dr Angeline Ithondeka, a medical superintendent at the hospital confirmed that five patients had been taken to the health facility.
“We have five patients who were brought to hospital and are being attended to. One of them will be referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for a CT Scan,” Ithondeka said on Sunday as quoted by Daily Nation.
The hospital boss further said that a section of the patients suffered fractures, while others suffered soft tissue injuries.
