Political analyst Samuel Salat has warned of a possible greater rift in Jubilee party, a few days after it was officially launched.
Speaking in Garissa town on Monday, Salat said the party leaders and parties that dissolved expect more than Jubilee Party will give.
He added that the parties’ top seats will be scrambled for, leading to a greater rift than unity.
“You tell me to dissolve my party to join yours or a merger. Obviously I am expecting you have something for me. What if Jubilee is not able to meet all these expectations, then a greater rift will be experienced?” he says.
Salat noted that the merger will render more people jobless and frustrate their political ambitions.
“Most people will be shocked when they will be locked out of politics or lose at the pre-liminaries. Jubilee’s promises of jobs will leave many dissatisfied,” added Salat.
