[Photo:nation.co.ke]Pokot South MP David Pkosin has said that former IEBC Commissioner Dr Rosyln Akombe was part of a wide scheme by NASA coalition to sabotage October 26 election.Pkosing has said that Akombe was a close associate of Salim Lone at the UN where, until her appointment to the IEBC, she worked as an Under-Secretary. Lone is a long-time adviser to NASA leader Raila Odinga.Lone was Director of the United Nations News and Media Division under Kofi Annan at the United Nations, where he worked for two decades until retiring in 2003, according to Wikipedia. The MP speaking to Citizen Extra on Wednesday, said that Akombe's resignation timing was suspect and none of the issues she has raised in her resignation letter 'add up'."Look at this, when NASA says there will be no election on October 26, they know what they are talking about. They are going to make it extremely impossible for us to have elections as scheduled and that one has started to come out clearly with only 7 days to the poll," said Pkosing. He added it is high time 'we dealt with these election saboteurs once and for all' before it is too late.Pkosing said that Akombe either underestimated her role at IEBC or overestimated her experience when she took over her job as commissioner, another reason that could have led to her exit from the electoral agency."This is a political job that requires thick skin. It is no place for weaklings," he said.
