Miguna Miguna should have complied tothe rules and regulations of the Immigration Department to be allowed entryinto the country. Kitui South Member of Parliament Rachael Nyamai has said.
According to Nyamai, everyone, including president Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto produces their identifications before they are allowed to leave or return to Kenya regardless of their nationality.
"There is no way the government can allow an unidentified person to just enter into the country, the government was right on Miguna Miguna. He should produce his identification details as italways happens at the airport," said the legislator.
Nyamai, who was speaking at her Mutomohome where she had hosted disabled children from all special schools in herconstituency for Easter, said that Miguna’s deportation was as a result of hisrefusal to comply with the set guidelines of which he knows as he has beentraveling abroad for many years.
“Miguna’s deportation was of his own makingas he failed to hand over his identification documents for identification. Thatis a common practice for all passengers from abroad,” said Nyamai.
Miguna after his arrival on the 26thof March at the Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi, was deportedback to Dubai from where he had sojourned while on his journey from Canada toKenya. As of to date he is still in Dubai as his fate is yet to be revealed bythe Kenyan authorities.
