Raila’s proposal to introduce a caretaker government has received a boost after a Jubilee-affiliated Bobasi member parliament Obiri Momanyi said it’s the only way Kenyans can unite and avoid any political confrontation.
According to the MP the current political tension being witnessed between NASA and Jubilee in the country will eventually result in unending tribal conflict and no one even Uhuru Kenyatta nor Raila will be able to contain it.
Speaking at his home on Monday evening the MP urged Jubilee government under the leadership of Uhuru to stop ignoring NASA leader Raila Odinga’s proposal as he has the right to ensure the country’s voting system is properly constituted to avoid any rigging claims in the future.
“Raila’s interim government has weight and there is no need for Jubilee government to fear if they believe that they will win once another election is held in 90 days time after the interim government is in place,” said Obiri.
The MP’s remarks come at a time majority of the Jubilee leaders have opposed NASA leaders proposal that will see Kenya have a caretaker government for six months to enable the country come up with better election laws and bodies and hold fresh elections.
