Kitui South MP Rachel Nyamai has asked the government not to spare NASA leader Raila Odinga in the ongoing crackdown on politicians who planned and administered his oath as the people's president last week on Tuesday.Addressing Mutomo residents in Kitui on Sunday, Nyamai asked the police to arrest and arraign the former Prime Minister in court for taking an illegal oath.The Jubilee MP said Raila is not above the law, adding that his arrest will serve as a lesson to others who might want to abuse the law."The government must arrest Raila and charge him for taking an illegal oath as the people's president contrary to the constitution," she said.Nyamai said that failure to arrest the ODM leader will be sending a wrong signal that the law can be abused without legal action being taken against perpetrators of lawlessness.She said that Raila's oath was illegal and he still went ahead with the ceremony despite being warned against it.Nyamai lauded the government for cracking the whip on opposition politicians for their role in Raila's inauguration.The Jubilee MP claimed that Raila's agenda was to cause anarchy and chaos in the country.She urged Kenyans to remain peaceful and avoid leaders agitating for violence to settle their political scores.The government has intensified its crackdown on people who planned and administered Raila's oath.
