Jubilee Party nominated MP David Ole Sankok has slammed NASA coalition political activist Miguna Miguna, following his standoff with police and immigration officials at the JKIA since Monday afternoon.
Miguna has been detained at the airport after failing to avail his passport to the immigration officers after he arrived from Canada following a court order, where he had been deported by the Kenyan government on February 6, 2018.
In a statement from Bondo, in Siaya County on Wednesday, Sankok who is also the chairman of the National Council for Persons Living With Disabilities, said:
"*MIGUNA MIGUNA IS THE AUTHOR OF HIS TROUBLES*
Imagine if Miguna Miguna had agreed to comply with law, handed his Canadian passport at the Airport for stamping and walked to a Huduma Centre the next day to re-apply for citizenship? He would have saved us all the drama and saved himself the massive loss of brand value. A straw may draw upwards, but a big river never flows upstream. It is for Miguna to decide what he wants to be.
If he wants to be remembered for fighting everything and everyone, he can continue fighting with immigration agents. If he really wants a footnote in the history of this Nation, Miguna must know the winds are flowing in the direction he has been saying he wants to go and sail along. This is not the time to see a huge lawyer without tact trying hard to reignite ethnic animosity by making himself a victim without victory.
Sincerely, we are too busy as a nation getting everyone to embrace and preach the message of reconciliation, we must ignore this Burly Bully of Toronto.
The Immigration department had all the rights to hold a Canadian citizen without proper travel Documents!! If Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila always faithful and Respectfully produces their passport to immigration official! Who the hell does this buffoon thinks he is????
Let the idiot "Unpeal" the musk first. He should respect "Baba" Raila Odinga and our President H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta."
