Slightly a day after defecting to Jubilee Party from ODM, Kisii Women Representative had another day to forget on Monday after an irate youths chanted anti-Jubilee slogans, forcing her to cut short her speech.

Otara, the first time legislator, accused her firmer colleagues in ODM for allegedly frustrating her efforts adding that she was rarely invited to ODM functions.

But her decision seems to have angered ODM supporters who literally interrupted her speeches in Bogiakumu Ward in Bonchari constituency.

“There is nothing new she is telling us because joining Jubilee is like insulting us. We are tired with these egocentric politicians and come August, they must weep,” said Jackson Ongaga.

Ongaga said: “Any sober person cannot do what she decided to do. The crowd is hostile because of her indecisiveness.”

Although she has repeatedly claimed that she consulted her constituents, Otara’s move could work against her if at all opinion by majority of the residents will work.

Interestingly, Otara who is set to face fire brand Janet Ong’era, hails from Bochari constituency in Kisii County.
