Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has promised to support Gideon Moi's presidential ambitions but on one condition.
The vocal Jubilee MP said Moi must first support deputy president William Ruto's presidential bid in 2022.
"As leaders from this region we are fully behind William Ruto's presidential bid and I urge our brother Gideon to shelve his ambitions until 2032 where we will fully support him," Sudi said in Eldoret town, Tuesday.
"Gideon Moi is a good leader but he should hold his horse for now until William Ruto becomes the president. He should first learn to support others before he is also supported," he added.
The legislator further said they will campaign 'door to door, county to county' to ensure deputy president ascends to power come 2022.
"We will not support any other candidate apart from William Ruto and anyone who will do contrary will face the consequences," warned Sudi.
He also urged Kenyans to live harmoniously with one another and avoid being divided by opposition leaders on tribal and political cocoons.
"Politics are now over and it's time for development, let us refrain from unnecessary politicking which might plunge the country into problems," he said.
