A Jubilee elected MP in Nyamira County has defended Governor Nyagarama from the allegations that he should be blamed for the absence of Nyamira MCAs at the Kakamega governors' conference.
Nyamira County Women Representative Jerusha Momanyi defended the ODM governor saying the MCAs should stop insulting Nyagarama because the county can't waste resources to take them on trips.
"Nyagarama did well by failing the MCAs to attend Kakamega conference. The MCAs absence at the conference does not mean the county is broke as claimed.
"The funds which were to be used as fare can be used to initiate various road projects in the county, improve markets and stock enough drugs for Nyamira residents to use at our health centers," she noted.
Jerusha accused some politicians for spreading propaganda that the county is broke.
"Funds sent from the national government to the county are not meant for the MCAs to use as fares to conferences.
"Local politicians who lost during the last year's polls should concentrate on lying strategies to clinch the seats in 2022 and not spreading propaganda because Nyamira people can't be won so easily by false information as some politicians are busy doing deep in villages," she added.
