Kimani Ichung'wa (Kikuyu, Jubilee) said on Saturday that he has never solicited for a bribe nor taken money that does not belong to him.

Speaking during a political talk show at Radio Jambo on Saturday, the lawmaker said those spreading false propaganda that he received the looted money are out to soil his name and paint him as a corrupt leader before his voters in Kikuyu constituency.

"I have been reading on social media that I ate the money," he said.

"I am among the few leaders i the country who do not entertain corruption and those peddling the lies should stay warned. I have never eaten free money and I don't intend to do so."

The MP spoke one day after Youth Principal Secretary Lillian Mbogo Omollo and NYS director general Richard Ethan Ndubai appeared before Parliament's Public Accounts Committee for questioning by MPs over the Sh9 billion loss at NYS.

Ichung'wa said names of all beneficiaries of the looted cash should be made public and should be barred from contesting for any political office.
