Navakholo Member of Parliament Emmanuel Wangwe has sharply differed with President Uhuru Kenyatta's Cabinet list released last Friday.
Wangwe, who was elected on a Jubilee Party dismissed Uhuru's Cabinet list, asserting that it was not inclusive.
He maintained that the Head of State must honor his pledge of overseeing an all-inclusive government as promised during his campaign trail.
The lawmaker further asked Uhuru to reserve two Cabinet positions for Western region.
“Just like my colleagues in Jubilee from this side, I am not satisfied. We cannot agree to play second fiddle in this Government. We sacrificed a lot in terms of selling the party across Western, which is an Opposition stronghold,” he said during a meeting with his constituents on Sunday.
"We risk having Jubilee lose its popularity in the region if our people are not considered for positions in the Cabinet. I am pleading with Uhuru (to act)," he added.
In a briefing from State House, President Kenyatta announced that he had retained only six of the cabinet Secretaries who served in his first term in office.
The announcement has elicited mixed reactions from both sides of the political divide.
