Deputy President William Ruto's 'Tanga Tanga' movement on Monday suffered a big blow after a Jubilee MP in Nyamira County disowned the outfit.
North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko said the movement is only meant to benefit individuals close to the DP and not electorates.
"Residents should ignore the recently formed 'Tanga Tanga' movement and leaders who have joined the outfit.
"It is time we should focus in fighting corruption and not forming outfits which will not help the electorates," he said.
He condemned South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro for taking most his time going round with DP instead of putting his energy to serve his people.
"We were elected to serve the electorates and not move around flying in helicopters. Osoro should first go to his constituency and serve the people before he will ask us to join 'Tanga Tanga' movement," he noted.
He said coffee and tea farmers from Gusii region have been ignored by leaders for long and it is time leaders should fight for farmers.
Nyamoko challenged DP Ruto to bring goodies to Gusii people and desist from early politics because 2022 is too far.
