Kimilili MP Didmas Barasa endured a torrid moment on Saturday at Bungoma in the presence of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
In recent days, a tough speaking Barasa has been calling for retirement of Odinga from national politics, a move that could have angered NASA supporters.
Trouble started when Barasa made entry to Kanduyu MP Wafula Wamunyinyi’s home for the burial of his father.
Rowdy youths got hold of the MP, frog marched him in presence of a host of leaders with efforts to rescue him falling to the deaf ears of the youthful people.
For about 30 minutes, the funeral was interrupted as the rowdy youths forced the MP to apologize to Odinga, who watched helplessly from the stands.
Order was restored when Bungoma police came into his rescue and the defiant Barasa was not however moved since he decided to take his seat for the rest of the program.
Considered as an opposition stronghold, Jubilee managed to scoop for seats from the vast county with Barasa being one of the lucky leaders,
