Bahati Member of Parliament Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri has hit out at NASA over its alleged plan to swear-in Raila Odinga on Tuesday.
He said the National Super Alliance has lost direction and wants to derail Kenya from moving forward after a long political season.
Speaking during the burial of the late 23-year-old Veronica Muthoni, who perished in the Lake Nakuru helicopter crash alongside four other people a month ago, the lawmaker said NASA is not being mindful of Kenyans.
“I am urging NASA leader Raila Odinga to accept defeat following his decision to boycott the repeat election held on October 26," Ngunjiri said.
He added: "He had the chance to be elected but he dropped out of the poll. Now its about time he give Kenyans an opportunity to move forward in nation-building.
“Boycotts called by NASA are hurting the economy and destroying employment opportunities for the youth across the country. NASA has resulted in unconstitutional strategies that were further polarizing the country and stalling economic growth.”
The MP also called on the media to black out politicians who were engaging in acts of inciting their supporters into acts of lawlessness and destruction of property.
