Kesses Member of Parliament Swarup Mishra Kiprop has hit on those criticising President Uhuru Kenyatta’s cabinet appointments saying that it does not represent that face of Kenya.
He said the nominations were on point and at least represented everyone regardless of their ethnic or tribal affiliation.
“I want to condemn those criticising Kenyatta’s cabinet that it’s not balanced with the strongest terms possible, surely we have 47 counties how can he accommodate 47 counties in only 22 cabinet slots. Let us not divide the country in the name of we were not given cabinet slots and our people were not considered,” he said in Eldoret town, Wednesday.
“Why should we be sad yet those who were given are also Kenyans instead we should support them to deliver their mandate. This is the best cabinet that Kenya has never seen since it has experienced people who without any doubt will do an excellent job,” he added.
He, however, applauded President Kenyatta for appointing former Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi as the Interior.
“Through his leadership cases of insecurity will be a thing of the past.We know that he will perform since he has been tried and tested,” noted Mishra.
