Mwingi West Jubilee MP hopeful Mwende Mwinzi has pleaded with Ukambani residents to endorse President Uhuru Kenyatta’s second term on August 8.

Addressing residents at Nguutani in Mwingi on Wednesday, Mwinzi asked the Kamba community not to be misled by the opposition.

She said that the opposition does not have an agenda for the Kamba community and the country at large.

The Jubilee MP hopeful said that Ukambani will benefit if President Uhuru Kenyatta wins a second term in the coming August 8 general election.

“Jubilee is our gate-way to socio-economic development and we should endorse Uhuru’s second term if we want to see that development,” she said as quoted by the Star.

Mwinzi said that Uhuru’s government has championed development across the country for the four and half years they have been in office.

She said that UhuRuto’s government has performed to deserve another term, adding that the ruling government agenda is workable compared to that of the opposition’s.

The Jubilee MP hopeful at the same time urged residents to endorse her bid on August 8.

She promised to eradicate poverty and empower residents economically. Mwinzi said that poverty remains a serious challenge in Mwingi and larger Ukambani region.

She promised to use the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to better the living stands of the people if elected.

The Jubilee MP hopeful is eyeing to send incumbent MP Bernard Kitungi packing who she accuses of failing to push for development.
