Social media users on Wednesday did not spare Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose over killing of one demonstrator on Tuesday in Gachuba ward.
Three more locals were arrested and detained in Keroka police as the controversial construction of Sh5 billion Bonyunyu dam turned violent.
Police are accused of using excessive force to repulse protesters who demanded dialogue with government over the construction of the dam.
"He (Mose) should take responsibility. He does not want to embrace dialogue and the police are in this place courtesy of him," said Beavon Magare, a youth leader.
On Nyamira Politics WhatsApp Edith Nyambega said: "Lack of consultation and now sending police to kill residents is unbelievable. Police have blessings from MP to harass and kill."
Ex-Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has accused the government for failing to widely consult locals over the project.
According to residents, the government has remained non committal over dialogue with some fearing displacement from their ancestral land.
Although efforts to reach Mose for comment were futile, KNHRC official Kamanda Muchake has vowed to take over the case.
