Moiben MP Silas Tiren has fired back at Deputy Presidency following criticism over his decision to visit retired president Daniel Moi..
Coincidentally, Tiren's visit came at the same day ex-Prime Minister Raila Odinga visited the former strongman, a meeting that has since irked political temperatures in the country.
At a press conference where he criticised the government's decision to delay payment for maize farmers, an irritated Tiren asked the DP to also 'visit his father' for blessings'.
"Our farmers have been suffering and he seems to say nothing about their plight. I normally see him hoovering around with helicopters," he said.
The Jubilee rebel MP added: "He keeps crying foul about our visit to Ruto. He should also organise and visit his father to seek blessings."
Also present at the controversial meeting in Kabarnet was Baringo senator Gideon Moi, Tiaty MP William Kamket and former minister Nick Salat.
With Tiren the only Jubilee MP, his critics among them senator Kipchumba Murkomen have accused him of betraying his party.
