Garissa Township legislator and Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale risks being impeached.

Led by Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter, four Jubilee MPs have vowed to take their party to court and later impeach Duale.

This storm in the ruling political outfit comes after the four were smoked out of their parliamentary committees for faulting party regulations.

Speaking on Sunday, Keter said that their removal from the committees is illegal.

Others affected are Marakwet East MP Kangogo Bowen, Emgwen’s Alex Kosgey and Moiben legislature Silas Tiren. They blame Duale for their dismissal.

“We will go to court to stop that and then come to parliament and impeach him (Majority Leader Aden Duale). Our prayers in court are the same prayers we will use to impeach him,” Keter said as reported by the Nation.

The row in Jubilee was fueled by the decision by the four to run against preferred candidates.

Keter floored Bura MP Ali Wario while Tiren defeated Mandera East’s Adan Ali. Mr. Bowen snatched a reserved slot from Ijara legislature Sofia Abdi but Kosgey was unsuccessful in his bid against MP Kanini Kega.
