Supreme Court Judges. [Photo/Standard] Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichungwa has reacted moments after the Supreme Court Chief Justice David Marsha said one of the judges was not in court because he had travelled outside the country. Maraga however noted justice Smokin Wanjala had assigned his full judgement on the nullification if the August 8 presidential election. “Judge Smokin Wanjala traveled out of the country but assigned his judgement,” CJ Maraga said, Wednesday. Ichungwa immediately took to social media and wondered why the judge was missing. "So Smokin Wanjala is missing on the bench?" posed Ichungwa on his twitter handle, Wednesday. The Jubilee MP further wondered what Wanjala had gone to do outside the country "Justice Wanjala left out of the country this morning. Not clear what he went to do," Ichungwa added. Smokin is among the four judges who supported the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election in the August 8 polls citing irregularities and illegalities in the election process. Two other judges had dissenting opinions.
