North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko has regretted decision to back President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection bid over what he terms as 'insincerity' in government appointments.

Last year, Nyamoko also criticised the decision by Jubilee party to omit nominees from Nyamira to EALA as earlier agreed with DP William Ruto.

"We met the DP and discussed about absorbing some individuals to EALA. We campaigned vigorously and managed to beat NASA in their own stronghold," he said.

Still, the region's quest to have top appointments to government hit a snug when Uhuru finalised naming of his cabinet.

And in an interview with a local paper, Nyamoko, a former Nyamira Assembly speaker, expressed his dissatisfaction with Uhuru's nominees.

"We campaigned vigorously for the party and managed 52 percent for Uhuru.but we have been given nothing," he said, adding that he may reconsider his position.

Despite hailing from Nyamira, Interior CS Fred Matiang'i is widely treated as an outsider given his roots in South Mugirango, Kisii County.
