Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri now says that opposition leader Raila Odinga will once again vie for presidency come the 2022 general elections.

In an interview on Radio Citizen Sunday, the ruling Jubilee Party lawmaker claimed that the opposition's National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principal will use the opportunity to take a 5th stab at the top post.

"Raila will surely feature in the 2022 presidential elections, it is so likely that he will be in the ballot again," said Ngunjiri.

With Odinga enjoying a huge support in some parts of the nation, especially his Luo Nyanza backyard, Ngunjiri noted that the veteran politician is not to be downplayed as he has what it takes to offer competition.

"He is not to be underated as he commands a huge national support base and his entry is likely to further complicate the 2022 race for state house," he said.

The former Premier, who has had 4 unsuccessful shots at the post throughout his political life, the latest one being the controversial loss to President Uhuru Kenyatta in the concluded August 8 general polls, is however yet to open up on the issue.

He recently reached a peace agreement with the President throwing political analysts and supporters into a pool of uncertainty with regards to his political plans in the approaching political season.
