A section of youths from Kitutu Masaba have now threatened to impeach their local MP Shadrack Mose after he was listed among the 49 MPs who have never said a word in Parliament by a local online website Mzalendo.com.
According to the youths, they feel ashamed when the MP who promised to articulate their problems in Parliament.
Speaking in Nyamira town on Thursday, the youth led by Justus Omiti the youths said they have already got in touch with their lawyers to give them the way forward as they are ready to get him out of office.
“The law is very clear an MP who has failed to deliver his mandate as a legislator can be called upon by the locals or rather voters by going through the impeachment regulations according to chapter 16 of a constitution” said Omiti
The youths however said they will give the way forward in few days upon initiating the process.
However the MP was recently quoted saying the locals should judge his performance in the constituency and not by the way he speak in parliament.
