[Coastal leaders at a past event. A Jubilee MP has dismissed their self determination plan) Daily nation]
The plan by coastal region leaders to push for secession has been dismissed by Bonchari member of Parliament saying that they have self interest and a plan that will land Kenya into endless civil war.
According to John Oroo, the move may not succeed but there was need for the leaders to follow the right channel when having problems as there are solutions under the jubilee government.
Speaking while closing a four day youth forum in Suneka sub county hall the mp said he will initiate the jubilee government to give adequate solutions to every problem facing the coast.
"Secession will never be a solution to unity in Kenya and all we want is the leaders to have a consultative meeting with the national government and raise all their complains that am sure will be solved" said Oroo
His remarks comes barely hours after Mombasa governor led a group of coastal leaders to push for succession with complains that governments have been sidelining the region since independence.
