On Sunday, Arati was installed as spokesperson at a ceremony in Bobasi despite objections from local leaders.

And Kitutu Masaba's Shadrack Mose on Tuesday said the move would encourage more youths to run for political seats in a paradigm shift that may help the country.

"I don't see the reason why we should oppose young people who are ready to show leadership," he argued.

The first term legislator added: "I fully support his bid and I will always support him. Let him show fellow youths the way."

Among those who have opposed Arati include Ford Kenya's Richard Onyonka, Fred Matiang'i and a host of Jubilee MPs.
