Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has commended National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters in Uasin Gishu County for not engaging in protests that had been called by their leaders.
The Jubilee MP has also thanked NASA supporters in the county for maintaining peace and allowing Kenyans willing to participate in the repeat presidential poll to freely do so.
Speaking in Eldoret on Saturday, Sudi said NASA supporters in the Jubilee stronghold exhibited political maturity.
"We have many NASA supporters in this county. We thank them for not holding demonstrations while their colleagues were doing so in several areas across the country," noted Sudi.
"We must also commend them for choosing not to disrupt elections but decided to stay at home and allow the process to go on smoothly," he added.
The MP reiterated the need for communities living in Uasin Gishu and across the country to remain peaceful and united irrespective of their political affiliations.
"We are proud of how communities in this county live together in cohesion and this is something that Kenyans should emulate. Political differences should not make us enemies," he reiterated.
