Vincent Tuwei of Mosop further says the DP should convene an emergency meeting to curb a possible rebellion that could blow him apart ahead of 2022 elections.

"What we are seeing may be small but may turn out terrible to Ruto. The so called rebels have supporters who must be respected," he said on Saturday.

Ealrly this week, Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter and Kangongo Bowen of Marakwet East had their victories nullified with the former blaming his tribulations on Jubilee leadership.

And Tuwei, who is serving his first term, said the issues should be solved urgently to avoid a looming fallout.

"The young leaders led by Keter have nothing to lose. They can fight like suicide bombers with nothing to fear and Ruto will pay the price.

"As leaders, we need to reach Keter and his team so that we can give Ruto a backing in 2022," he added.

On Saturday in Nairobi, Rift Valley leaders convened to discuss among other, the brewing rebellion in the vote rich area.

Already, Keter has hinted possibility of ditching Jubilee citing plot to kick him out by party stalwarts.
