Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu has yet again picked war with Deputy President William Ruto by accusing him of derailing president Uhuru Kenyatta's development agenda.

On his Facebook account, while making indirect reference to Ruto's allies, Ngunjiri asked Kenyans to shun ongoing debate about 2022 succession politics.

"The president is right in charge and this kind of intimidation must stop. It is unfair to harass the president when he is committed to serve his people.

"Those talking of succession should first support the delivery of the Big Four agenda. Your ascendancy to power will depend on Uhuru's performance. Have courtesy," he said.

While Ruto has not openly questioned Uhuru's partnership with Raila Odinga, his allies have however demanded that the president comes out openly and speaks about his relationship with Ruto.

Senate Minority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen accused Raila of using his handshake with Uhuru to campaign ahead of 2022, an issue the latter denies.

"He 9Uhuru) must now make the MoU with Raila public. He must tell us whether he still supports DP Ruto," he said.

For months now, Wambugu has not hesitated to attack the DP in what he calls premature 2022 campaigns.
